We stayed in Athens for the past two days. The hotel we booked was a tiny hotel locate in Plaka (where all the ancient ruin is), with unbelievably small bathroom and free but unsatisfying breakfast. Well, for 50 euros a night for two people, I really shouldn't be complaining too much.
We got here in late afternoon yesterday due to flight delay, so we only visited the theatre of Dyonysos and walked around Plaka. It's a truly lovely neiborhood...with lots of small shops, nice souvenirs and tons of silver accessories. We did some shopping while walking around, and picked a nice restaurant right underneath the acropolis.
Today we visited the acropolis, the ancient angora, change of guard in front of the tomb of annonymous soldier, and the archaeological museum. It's about 5pm now and we are almost tired to death from the endless walking. Our boat to Santorini is tonight at 9pm, so we still get some time to kill. We will be staying in Santorini for 3 days, Naxos fo 1, then Mykonos for 3, in between the three days we will pick a day to visit Delos.
